Tasks and responsibilities
  • Open new patient files
  • Process payments and billing
  • Coordinate the processing and fulfillment of specialized prescriptions, including data entry and compliance with medication regulations
  • Coordinate healthcare services with stakeholders, as needed
  • Follow up on prescription renewals, and prepare and label medications
  • Call patients to schedule medication deliveries to their home or clinic
  • Coordinate medication deliveries with clinics for patients
  • Monitor and follow up on patient appointments in clinics
  • Resolve various issues that may arise in clinic settings
  • Prepare various reports as required
  • Perform any other related tasks
Skills and qualifications
  • Experience as a Pharmacy Technical Assistant (PTA), medical secretary, in administration, or any other relevant field (asset)
  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Pharmacy Technical Assistance or Attestation of Vocational Specialization (AVS) in Medical Secretarial Studies (asset)
  • French (spoken and written) is required. English (spoken and written) at a beginner/intermediate level is required, as we serve both French- and English-speaking clients; therefore, bilingual communication is essential for customer service
  • Strong ability to learn quickly
  • General computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong listening skills, patience, and a human-centered approach to client service
  • Strong teamwork ethic
